NO..

it's not as simple as you think.Without going into technical reasons, just
use a separate antenna.

No - these antennas are 'powered' from the receivers and are very sensitive
to
mods ! (they are not passive devices like FM antennas) I wouldn't mess with
it.

so, when they merge, will they send the same signal to be able to
accomplish this?

You can do it now... I dont know the part number but do a web search.
Radio stores do that very thing for the display radios.

Nonsense. The antennas are pretty interchangeable. Here's splitters
that work with either or both:

Those splitters are for the same satellite service, not mixing signals like
a multiplexer would. AFAIK, no such product exists for satellite radio.

You need a DC Blocker on one of the outputs, one antenna at the input.

For the record, I didn't even bother to switch out my antenna when I
switched from Sirius to XM radio. So I'm using an antenna that says
"Sirius" with a receiver that says "XM".

This means if you break your Sirius antenna accidentally, you can go out and
buy an XM replacement vehicle antenna at Wal-Mart instead of spending $40
buying one from Sirius' website.

Of course, they probably don't want you to know this.

I drive a truck and had both untill the merger. They where on a after
market XM antenna with a spliter. Now I dont sirus only XM because I
prefer XM. But my point is you can switch from one to the other with
the same antenna or get a spliter and run them both. I cant wait
untill tyhe merger is truly done. Football and good tunes.
