Recently we had our Skyfi 2 receiver stolen. Our primary use for the
receiver had been to provide XM listening in the home, we used it in the
home dock and with the FM transmitter. We are interested in replacing it,
however all the newer receivers are Sure Connect. If we use a Sure Connect
receiver in a home dock, will the FM transmitter work or be disabled. We
need the FM transmitter as our radios are older with no audio inputs.

Thanks

I replaced a Skyfi 2 receiver with a Starmate 5 because I wanted al a carte
programing. In my opinion, the FM transmitter on the new units is useless.
The vehicle docking kit has a place to plug in a wire to tape next to your
antenna to increase the signal. This is not available on the home docking
kit, so I assume the FM transmitter is disabled.
