I just heard that Sirius is designating channel 32 as the burnt out hippie
Grateful Dead Channel.

My question is what happens now to the former channel 32 Sirius Disorder?

Sirius Disorder was one of the most interesting channels they had. It had
to be dumped as part of the increasing blandification both XM and Sirius
are undertaking.

Grateful Dead channel? This may kill the market for Sominex.

Where is this information to be found?

Does this mean they're killing Planet Jazz, their second-best jazz
channel, or is that moving, too? Will there be a major shuffling of
channels?

Kimba W. Lion,

Go to the Sirius home page, scroll all the way to the bottom. In the small
print on the bottom of the page, click on "Newsletters".

There's a link under the heading "Sirius Music Weekly" to the actual
newsletter.
The information is in the newsletter under the heading The Greatful Dead
Channel.

Thanks.

No mention of Planet Jazz. I guess they are killing it off.

K. W. L.,

It doesn't look good for Planet Jazz.

There are other available unused channel numbers. I don't see why we have
to forfeit a station especially for a Greatful Dead channel.

Even if you are a G. D. fan, the novelty of these dedicated channels
wears thin quickly.

Is anybody still listening to The Who channel. Is there still even a Who
channel?
Exactly!
