I didn't mind some of the changes that came down the line , but , what i
really can't stand is listening to Classic Vinyl and having to lister to
Dusty Roads , Winds , whatever her damn name is.

I liked top tracks for the music , not now , i do not care to hear little
tidbits from her that have nothing to do about the music she's playing or
listening to her screw up.

Case in point , last week she started telling us how a dog ran his master's
car into a store front and how there must be a dog training school that
teach's dogs to drive , then introduces a song by Jimi Hendrix ,, problem
being it was Dylan doing All Along The Watchtower ,not Jimi.

This is just one of the many screw ups i've heard from her.

Then listening to 1st Wave today and the droning on from Madison , she made
a major faux pas by calling today Black Friday , or as she put it "or maybe
it should be called Afro American Friday" ,, i'm sure that flew really
well.

It's to bad that all the Xm channels i listened to have gone the way of
Sirius and the canning of some really great and insightful people that made
sense when they did talk.

To paraphrase a Dire Straits song ,,"i want my Xm"

XM needs to get rid of Dusty Street (I call her Dirty Streets).
I pay for non-bs radio and that is what I want.
I miss Top Tracks.

I've been simmering since the change, I didn't know if I was
alone or not. Thanks for the confirmation.

For me I would prefer no talk at all except on talk stations. I don't care
about song or band tidbits and I certainly don't care about these peoples
lives. I would prefer non stop music. That's what "I" am paying for.

I'm just the opposite. I like the info, especially on Underground
Garage where I can hear guys like Andrew Loog Oldham tell stories
about the early days of the British Invasion from a guy in the middle
of it. But I'm into music history. Can't imagine I would want to listen
to someone talking about modern pop or dance music. Then again, I don't want
to listen to that music in the first place.

Take your subscription money and buy an ipod.

If the discussion is on topic , like what you pointed out , i'm all for it
, George Taylor Morris was like that with little snippets on the last song
or artist , but keep it on topic , not about dogs going to driving school!

Madison has her head so far up her ass, she can see her tonsils. The best
example of such came a couple years back, on December 18th (I remember the
day because of the event described). Madison was talking about Irish
singers, and brought up Kirsty MacColl, who was killed in a scuba accident
in Mexico several years back, on December 18th. She went on for five minutes
about how talented Kirsty was, and different collaborations she had with the
Pogues and Billy Bragg, etc. Finally, that bitch Madison says that to
commemorate Kirsty, she would play something Irish....and she starts another
U2 tune.

I would think that to commemorate a particular singer you would want to play
a song from that singer, but not Madison.

That is one man that i enjoyed when he talked , but at the same time kept
it on topic to the artist and short and sweet ,, was really bummed out to
find that he was leaving.

Do we know that the DJs actually start the songs? I have a feeling they
have a playlist to comment on but some engineer in the studio that
plays the music. Is Chrissie Hynde really working the computer to
start the songs? I doubt it.

Most likely, the DJs "voice track" their shows. Meaning that they record their
commentary all at once and then the songs are interleaved at some later time
for broadcast.
