Time on SkyFi2
(too old to reply)

Greetings,

My XM Delphi SkyFi2 decided it wanted to make the jump in Daylight Savings
Time earlier than the law allows. I've looked into the settings and all I
have is the choice to turn DST on or off and select my time zone (eastern).

Does anyone know of a patch or fix to make my SkyFi2 change time when it's
supposed to instead of following the old DST schedule?

Cheers - Jonathan

There is supposed to be new firmware either out or coming out that will
time-shift the internal calendar to the correct time.

The SkyFi2 is considered "legacy" equipment and XM (and its manufacturing
partners) would prefer you spend a couple of hundred bucks on a newer model.
There will be no firmware fixes for the SkyFi2.

Greetings,

After some searching I tend to agree, especially since the only way a SkyFi2
can receive programming is via satellite. There really seems to be no way
to download updated firmware or a patch from any other source (like if it
was connected to a computer via a dock). I guess we'll just have to live
with the DST issue until I upgrade my equipment in a few more years, which
is really no big deal since the tiny clock display on the SkyFi2 isn't the
primary clock in my truck.

Tonight, we're changing back to DST, so it will be at the right time,
no ?

Why is the time read out on my SkyFi incorrect?

Is there anything I can due to get it to display the correct time?

Perhaps he has the time zone set incorrectly. Other than turning DST on and
off, setting the time zone is the only other adjustment for the time on my
SkyFi2.
