Since more and more news servers are dissappearing, and more and more
internet providers are abandoning support for newsgroups, the once lively
freewheeling rec.radio.broadcasting is a shell of it's former self.

In order to continue the spirit of the group, we are attempting to move the
radio discussions of rec.radio.broadcasting over to a Yahoogroup.

Please join us, as we attempt to ressurrect the vibrant discussions of
rec.radio.broadcasting!

No. Yahoo Groups sucks fat balls. More so than Google Groups, and
that's quite a feat.

This is a rather defeatist attitude. My opinion -for what is worth- is, that we
should resurrect it here.

Nothing can replace the USENET. Certainly not the World Wide Web of commercial
exploitation of everything.

I have my doubts that migrating to yahoogroups will make much of a
difference. I originally belonged to a satrad yahoogroup and it went to
hell when the owner moved out of the country and no one was left to
moderate it. Plus unless someone is really careful about monitoring new
members and new messages it can quickly turn into a spamfest. I've been
on too many groups where that has happened.

Not saying it's not worth trying, just that it may well be as
problematic as usenet.
