Has price for Sirius lifetime changed?

Not many posters on this group, last one was Jul 10, '08. Having
purchased a brand new 2006 Mazda3 in Feb '02 it came with built-in
Sirius receiver. Took the 6 months free and purchased additional 6
months. After that year, I purchased 6 more months. Due to some
inexplicable good fortune, I wound up getting an additional 12 months
service free! So I've paid Sirius ~$120 total for 2.5 years. Sorry I
digress.

This month, Jul '08, I decided to purchase the lifetime plan which is
selling for $422. plus $47 in tax. I've seen posts from 2005 stating
Sirius lifetime plan was selling for $499 plus tax. If true, they've
discounted the plan by ~15% since 2005. Can anyone confirm the
discounted lifetime plan amount?

I can't confirm that, but I can affirm that occasionally Sirius has sales on
lifetime plans -- late last year they offered to sell me one for $399 (rather
than the $499 usually referenced), and these days I kick myself for not taking
them up on the offer (having been a listener since about 2005 now).
