one of the band members (sorry, don't know which one) did a promo and said,
yeah we're on for 30 days, so if you hear a song you don't like you'll just
have to turn the volume down for a while...
I'm happy to say I liked a lot of what I heard.

For thirty days, in fact.

FWIW, Bill Hutton over at Lucy is running a weekly "Thirty Seconds of
Coldplay" feature on XM Saturday Night consisting of a thirty second clip
of awful, awful elevator music Hutton deadpans as being attributable to
the band. (Think "muzak so bad it'd never get played on Escape".)

God bless you, Mr. Hutton. You're doing the Lord's work. And for minimum
wage, yet. :)

What purpose is there to that? They have 4, maybe 5 albums out? Same shit
every hour? It's bad enough with the Dead, Springsteen, and similar wastes
of broadband

They're not including any live performances?

They, or their recording company must be paying for that. This is what
I think. same thing they did on Sirius with Neil Diamond.

AOL radio in conjunction with XM radio has a Rolling Stones channel,
which at least makes some sense. They have - what? - forty plus
years' worth of music to offer.
