Heard second-hand, so correct me if I'm wrong...

Mel Karmazian on Charlie Rose this week said that he expects to raise the
'second revenue stream", AKA advertising, on Sirius from 3 or 4% to 10%
after the merger.

(What a shock! After all, there'll be no competition...)

Mel specifically said he only cares about the "commerce of business" and
has no interest in the 'arts and crafts' which is his term for
programming.

(I could tell that by recent programming changes. More wonderful stuff to
happen in the future, I guess...)

It's just like when Cable T.V. was supposed to be commercial free.
After x amount of subscribers, they added the commercials back in. Now
channels could be showing programming at night but instead they show
paid-infomercials.

Cable T.V.=satellite radio=wastes of money.
